City’s Proposed Tax Asking to Rise by $5,400

A date has been set for the Grant City Council to hold a public hearing on the proposed 2009-2010 fiscal year budget.

Tuesday, September 8, has been chosen for the budget hearing which will be held at City Hall.

The hearing will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open to the public.

According to the budget document, which can be found on page six of this week’s newspaper, the proposed tax asking for 2009-2010 would be $123,500. The figure is $5,400 above the tax asking from one year ago.
