The Albion Area Arts Council will present a concert by the vocal trio Broad Appeal on Sunday, December 6th at 2 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Albion.
The three women who comprise Broad Appeal, each an accomplished performer and vocal instructor, capture the essence of the 1935-1959 musical era through the glorious melodies of ‘Your Hit Parade,’ the popular show that brought the week’s top songs to eager audiences gathered around their radios and televisions. Through an intermix of a cappella arrangements and lively recorded band accompaniments Broad Appeal brings the hits — and the stories behind them — to life.
From the obscure ‘Little Shoemaker’ to the wildly popular ‘Sincerely,’ Broad Appeal charms diverse audiences with their rich harmonies and seamless blend.
Admission is $12.50 for adults and $5 for children with Arts Council members admitted free-of-charge. Anyone having questions may contact Paul or Lori Hosford at 402-395-6727 or at www.arts2008@frontiernet.net.
