Breaking News – Three WWII Vets Travel To Washington On Last Honor Flight

Alvin Schrage, Ray Dinslage and Gerhard Tunink left Elgin Wednesday morning headed to Omaha. 

Early Thursday morning, the three boarded a flight bound for Washington DC.  There, they will spend day touring various sites including the WWII Memorial as part of the Heartland Honor Flight program.  The program was designed to offer this once-in-a-lifetime experience free of charge to veterans of WWII.  E-R Photo
