Antelope Country Track Meet Held at Creighton

CREIGHTON — The Antelope County track meet annually features some of the best competition around.
Monday’s event was no exception as Wolfpack athletes dominated in a number of events.
On the girls side, Marin Heithoff won both the 800 and 1600 meter runs and was a member of the winning 3200 meter relay team. Freshman Taylor Schumacher won both the 100 and 300 meter hurdles events and was a member of the winning 3200 and 1600 meter relay teams.
The 1600 meter relay team raced to victory, beating second place Orchard/Clearwater by 45 seconds.
Courtney Schumacher won the 400 meter dash.
On the boys side, Brian Finkral won the shot put, Nash Schindler won the 300 meter hurdles. Also, the Wolfpack’s 1600 and 400 meter relay teams were the best of the field on this day.
Neligh-Oakdale won the boys team title with 110 points, the Wolfpack were second at 102.5 followed by Elkhorn Valley 86.5 and Clearwater/Orchard 71.
