Elgin’s Chelsi Mescher placed first in the regional competition of the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest held March 1 at Albion. She is now eligible to compete in the state competition to be held at Hastings College on March 29. She is the daughter of Bill and Teri Mescher.
