Antelope County 2026 General Election Unofficial Results
Another election is “in the books” as yesterday was Election Day”. The Elgin election workers reported a steady flow of voters through the day.
Mayor Mike Schmitt retains his seat as he ran unopposed. Lisa Welding was re-elected and Kimberly Young and Kyle Heithoff will fill the two other open seats on the District 18 (Elgin Public) Board of Education.
The one issue of local concern on the ballot for Elgin city residents was the Elgin sales tax increase. Voters passed the .5% increase along with the establishment of an Economic Development program (Lb840).
