Margie J. Richart, 61, of Elgin, NE passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, at CHI Health Bergan Mercy in Omaha, NE.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Elgin, with Fr. Frank Baumert officiating.

Margaret “Margie” Jo Richart, daughter of Kenneth Walter and Joan Joy (Jenkins) Richart, was born in Neligh, NE on November 26, 1964. She attended Elgin Public Schools and graduated in 1984. Margie attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE, studying to become a mechanic and graduated in 1990.
In 1990, Margie began working for the Nebraska Department of Roads in McCook as a mechanic and truck driver. After her father passed away in 2010, she returned to Elgin to help care for her mother and began working as a truck driver for Pollock Redi-Mix and Rutjens Construction until her death. Throughout her life, Margie enjoyed Nebraska Volleyball, crafting, and enjoyed caring for her dogs Charlie and Amos.
Margie is survived by her mother: Joan Richart of Albion, NE; three sisters: Susan “Susie” Richart of Elgin, NE; Karen (Tim) Cakebread of Tilden, NE; Amy (John) Schofield of Lincoln, NE; honorary sister: Ina (Jim) Kittelson of Elgin, NE; brother-in-law: Jim Beltz of Norfolk, NE; nieces and nephews: Amy (Jason) Pichler of Omaha, NE; Beth (Andrew) Domina of Elkhorn, NE; James (Chassidy) Beltz of Stanton, NE; Brenton (Amanda) Cakebread of Pittsburgh, PA; BreAnn (Derek) Schulz of Battle Creek, NE; Segan (Matt) Graham of Columbus, NE; Shelby Cakebread of Vermillion, SD; Kasi Abbenhaus of Lincoln, NE; Noah Schofield of Ashland, NE; Hannah Schofield of Lincoln, NE; as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father: Kenneth Richart; two sisters: Deb Beltz; Emily Richart; niece: Lexis Abbenhaus; and many aunts and uncles.
