37th Annual Elgin Fall Festival Is Saturday

The 2016 Elgin Fall Festival Crafts and Products Fair will be held this Saturday, October 1 at the St. Boniface Auditorium, Third and Remington Street.
This marks the 37th year for the craft fair, bringing together area/regional craftsmen and area/regional shoppers for one fantastic day of homemade merchandise to buy and sell.
According to Patricia Spieker, the event will feature many popular crafts and products from previous years as well as some new items. She said wooden toys are popular every year and will be available for purchase again this year.
Among the new vendors/items will be Lip Sense, Martha & Me (Christian home decor items), as well as many sewn and quilted items and even homegrown honey.
Spieker said the auditorium will be full this year, providing many items to choose from. She said the fall festival, at this time of year, provides a way for people to do some early Christmas shopping without having to go too far. Admission to the event is free.
Again this year, buyers will find everything in one place.
The festival will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this year. Organizers and volunteers will be at the gymnasium around 6 a.m. to help vendors do setup for the festival.
The Young-N-Lively Club will be holding a bake sale.
As in past years, the St. Boniface Altar Society will be serving soup, sandwiches, etc., Take outs are available. See ya there!
